CEMEX operates a cement works at South Ferriby on the Humber estuary. The whole site was catastrophically flooded by the storm surge in 2004, which damaged the kiln and destroyed the electrical and control systems. 

We were the main civils contractor on the design and build project to re-build the site. Works included two new sub stations along with the installation of all new HV cabling. We also completed all the foundation and civils work to rebuild the offices, production and discharge facilities, raising them above expected flood level on plinths. Other infrastructure works included various tank foundations, bunds, drainage, access roads and the design and build of several steel portal frame buildings.
